ATC Club!

What?!  Paper Pals and The Quilted Moose
are joining up together?? Hooray!!

Have you heard of Artist Trading Cards? Maybe you’ve made and traded some ATCs. If you have never seen them, they are small, original works of art about the size of a playing card, made to trade with others for ATCs they have created. They’re made out of just about anything—papers, stamps, photos, magazine clippings, paint, ribbons, beads, fabric, stitching….the possibilities are endless. This activity was started in about 1996 in Switzerland and has now spread around the world.

Paper Pals and The Quilted Moose are teaming up to start a new group of people interested in making and swapping Artist Trading Cards. This will be a free club, meeting once a month to make cards, share ideas, learn new techniques, join in swaps and more! It will be on the 4th Wednesday of the month starting June 23 and we’ll be rotating the location for our creative gathering between both stores.

The first meeting on June 23 will be held at The Quilted Moose in Colfax from 6 – 9 pm.  Karen from Paper Pals will be going over the details of how it all works at the 1st meeting. Everyone interested should plan to attend so we can make our plans as a group. Please call or stop by either store to sign up. We’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have.

Just think of all those rubber stamps, fabric, thread, embellishments and cool papers you’ve been collecting—or thinking you should collect! Now you’ll have a great place to use them and a wonderful opportunity to try new techniques. Yay!  Call either store to sign up!
